Liquid Coating Equipment Solutions

APEC designs liquid coating equipment for pet foodanimal feed, and snack food manufacturers. Our liquid coating machines are engineered to apply oils and other liquids in a continuous process, helping processors achieve consistent coverage and efficient production.

Each liquid coating system is designed to support controlled application and repeatable performance in food processing environments.

Increased Sanitation for Liquid Coating Equipment

APEC offers stainless steel construction for customers who require a high level of sanitation in their liquid coating processes. The Mistcoater Liquid Applicator is built for food and animal feed applications and supports sanitation standards within processing facilities.

Sanitation-focused features include:

  • Food-grade components
  • Stainless steel contact surfaces
  • Food-grade gaskets
  • Spray-out coating chamber design

Design Benefits of APEC’s Liquid Coating Systems

The design of the Mistcoater liquid coating machine helps contain spray within the enclosed chamber, reducing environmental exposure during operation. The enclosed design also supports easier housekeeping.

Spinning disk spray technology reduces the likelihood of clogged spray nozzles and helps minimize maintenance requirements. The system’s design also supports more uniform liquid coverage across dry materials.

How APEC’s Liquid Coating Equipment Works

In APEC’s liquid coating equipment, spinning disks apply liquids to dry solids in a continuous flow process. Dry material is fed into the system, and liquid is applied within the coating chamber. The percent of liquid applied depends on the dry material’s porosity and ability to absorb liquids.
